Rose Quartz
Rose Quartz is known as the “Love” stone. It ranges in color
from a soft delicate pink to a rare rosy red. As with all stones in the Quartz
family it is mostly comprised of Silicon Dioxide. The pink color is caused by
impurities from Manganese, Titanium and Iron. Its appearance ranges from opaque
to translucent, and is rarely transparent.
It is one of the most abundant stones on earth. It is found in
Brazil, South Africa, Japan, India, Madagascar, and United States. The finest
Rose Quartz with the most brilliant intense color comes from Madagascar.
In Ancient Times Rose Quartz was seen as a significant stone of
